What are the best and worst love songs of all time? Are there any that have special meaning to you (whether positive or negative)? Why?
What is love? Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more! Okay, uh... Really gotta say Unchained Melody is probably the best. It always gets me. ;.; Although I do also love Bette Midler's The Rose, since it gives hope to the heartsick and downtrodden. When the night has been too lonely
and the road has been too long
and you think that love is only
for the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winter
far beneath the bitter snows
lies the seed
that with the sun's love
in the spring
becomes the rose
Even if you're alone and cold and lonely, with some love you can blossom into a beautiful flower. I always felt like the one who won't be taken, anyway.
The worst... Well me and my brother concluded that it has to be Boom Boom Boom (Lets Go Back To My Room) because, lol... We heard it on the radio one night and just burst out laughing
. I mean, you just gotta look at the title to know it's horrible. After that, I dunno, the Titanic song? It's not really bad
bad, just... overplayed. Well and I sorta felt different about it when I learned it was played at funerals...
But, uh... I had to seek out this video because I remember watching it on Valentine's Day when I was a kid:
It actually takes place in December, but oh well... I really liked the animation and the song. It's so shmoopy.
Now I gotta go to the bank because my automatic payments got jacked up or some junk (I dunno!) and so I only have 33 cents in my checking account. 33 cents! And then I gotta make a red velvet cake which should be worth it. :d
Happy Valentine's Day!
